What are the Queensland Academies?

The Queensland Academies are three state selective-entry schools offering the International Baccalaureate programme - QASMT (Science/Maths/Tech), QACI (Creative Industries) and QAHS (Health Sciences). Each campus partners with a leading Queensland university.

Can my child apply to more than one campus?

No. Students can only apply to ONE campus per application cycle. Choose based on your child's interests and each campus's specialisation.

How many mock exams are included?

8 full-length mock exams covering all 5 EduTest sections: Verbal Reasoning (30q, 30min), Numerical Reasoning (30q, 30min), Reading Comprehension (30q, 30min), Mathematics (30q, 30min) and Writing (1 task, 15min).

How long does my child have access?

12 months unlimited access. Retake quizzes as many times as you like. Progress saved automatically.

Is there an interview?

Yes. After the EduTest, shortlisted students are invited to an interview at their chosen campus. The interview is part of the holistic selection process. This course includes an interview preparation guide.

What is EduTest?

EduTest is the testing provider for QLD Academies entrance exams. Unlike ACER, EduTest is designed so most students complete only about 50% of questions - speed and strategic pacing are critical.

Is the test score the only selection criterion?

No. QLD Academies uses a holistic assessment combining EduTest results, school academic reports, NAPLAN results and a campus interview. All components contribute to the final selection decision.
