Queensland Academies are a group of specialist public high schools that offer accelerated, enriched programs for academically gifted students. Each school has a different focus, but all use the same EduTest assessment for Year 7 entry.

| 🌍 QACI | Queensland Academy for Creative Industries — focus on arts, design, media, creative and performing arts. Located in Kelvin Grove. |
| 🏃 QAHS | Queensland Academy for Health Sciences — focus on health, sport, science, community wellbeing. Located in Gold Coast. |
| 📝 Selection test | All three schools use EduTest for selection — the same 5-section assessment: Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Mathematics, and Written Expression. |
EduTest tests general reasoning ability — not specific curriculum knowledge. A student who has never covered a particular topic can still answer correctly by reasoning carefully from the question. Preparation significantly improves performance. 💪
