Help your child feel calm and prepared
✅ Day-of Checklist
- 🌙 Night before: Pack everything. Light review of strategies only. Sleep by 9:30pm.

- 🖥️ What to bring: Admission/booking confirmation, photo ID, water bottle.
- 📵 What NOT to bring: Phone (confiscated), calculator, notes.
| 🧠 Verbal |
Read each question fully. For analogies: state the relationship in words before reading options. |
| 🔢 Numerical |
Find the pattern before solving. Write rough working in the space provided. |
| 📚 Reading |
Skim passage, read questions, return to text. Don’t answer from memory. |
| ➕ Maths |
Estimate before calculating. Check your answer is reasonable. No calculator — use scrap paper. |
| ✍️ Writing |
Plan for 2 minutes. Strong opening, clear middle, deliberate ending. Write by hand if that’s the format. |
💡 Pro Tip: If your child feels anxious: pause, take three slow breaths, re-read the question. Anxiety peaks in about 90 seconds and then drops if you don’t feed it. They are prepared. 💪
