Recommended Study Plan

Step 1 – Work through Module guides

Read each Preliminary Biology module guide before attempting a practice exam. Year 11 content is foundational – gaps now become problems in Year 12.

Step 2 – Attempt practice exams under assessment conditions

Practise writing responses under time pressure. Even in Year 11, exam technique matters for internal assessment results.

Step 3 – Review against model responses

Compare your responses to model answers. Identify what distinguishes a strong response from a weak one at each mark level.

Step 4 – Apply feedback to your next school task

Use what you learn from practice exams directly in your next internal assessment task. Continuous improvement is the Year 11 goal.

💡 Year 11 results do not directly count toward your ATAR. But your habits, understanding and internal rank do. The students who take Year 11 seriously consistently outperform those who coast through it.
