Week 1-2: Complete Getting Started + ACER Guide

Read sections 1 and 2 first. Understand the exam format thoroughly before attempting any questions. Students who understand the rubric score 15-20% higher on their first mock.

Week 3-4: Work through Study Skills (all 14 lessons)

Don’t rush this section. These lessons contain the strategies that separate top-scoring students. Each lesson takes 15-20 minutes.

Week 5 onwards: Mock Exams – one per week minimum

Sit each mock in full under timed conditions. All sections, timed, no interruptions. The cognitive load of a full sitting is what you are training for.

After each mock: Review every answer in detail

This is the most important step. Students who review explanations carefully improve twice as fast as those who only check their score.

For Mathematical Reasoning / Science sections:

Complete the Mathematics section first, then tackle the Science BONUS questions as extra challenge practice.

⭐ ACER Examiner’s Trick: The most common preparation mistake is attempting mocks before completing the Study Skills section. Students who read the skills lessons first score on average 12-15% higher on their first mock attempt.
