| 🏫 Who nominates |
Your child’s primary school nominates eligible students. Parents cannot apply directly — nominations come through the school. |
| 📅 When |
Testing is typically held in Term 2 of Year 4. Schools are notified of nomination deadlines in advance. |
| 🌍 Which schools |
PEAC is available to students at WA public primary schools. Check with your school and the Department of Education WA for the current list of PEAC centres. |
| 📊 Results |
Results are communicated through the school. Top-scoring students receive offers to attend a nominated PEAC centre. |
| 🔄 Re-testing |
If not selected in Year 4, students may sometimes be considered again in Year 5 — check current DoE WA policy. |
⚠️ Talk to the school early
Speak to your child’s classroom teacher early in Year 4 to confirm the nomination process and timing for your school. Different schools have slightly different processes.
