Does My Child Need to Register?

No. Schools handle all NAPLAN registrations automatically. If your child is enrolled in an Australian school, they will be registered by their school.

⚠️ If your child has changed schools recently, check with the new school to confirm they have been registered in the correct year level.

What Schools Provide

🖥️ A computer or tablet for the online sections
📄 Paper and pencil for Year 3 Writing (paper-based only)
🎧 Headphones for the Spelling section (audio prompts)
⏱️ A supervised, quiet exam environment
👩‍🏫 A teacher or supervisor present throughout

Special Provisions

Students with a disability or learning difficulty may be eligible for special provisions such as extra time, a reader, or a scribe. Contact your school well before the test window to arrange provisions.

Withdrawing from NAPLAN

Parents who wish to withdraw their child must submit a written request to the school principal before the test window opens.
