March — test window opens	NAPLAN test window opens — schools choose their specific dates within this window
Late March — test window closes	NAPLAN test window closes

August	National results report published publicly

📅 Schools schedule the test on different days within the March window. Your school will notify you of the specific dates for your child.

How Many Days to Prepare?

Ideally start preparation 6–8 weeks before the test window. That gives enough time to work through all mock exams, review explanations, and build confidence without last-minute stress.
